

Several of us here at LC Advanced travelled to Portland, OR last week to attend Drupalcon. Despite soaking up as much rain as knowledge, we all had an awesome time out there, and left in great spirits. The best part of Drupalcon (other than Voodoo Donuts of course), were the people we met. We spent the whole week hanging out with Drupalists from all over the world, including a bunch from Western Massachussets. You can't beat that.


This has been a long time coming. left-click advanced is pleased to announce that on Saturday, March 23rd, Commerce Point of Sale (POS) was released on Drupal.org. Commerce POS is a point of sale interface for the Drupal Commerce suite of modules. It is the (only slightly better named) successor to the UberPOS module, which did the same thing for Ubercart.


It got to be too much. As I slowly slipped further and further in a Google world, I began to notice a Chromebook curiosity growing inside of me. As each day went on, it continued to get more and more reasonable to try a Chromebook. I found myself working more and more out of my Chrome web browser on my MacBook Pro. Google Plus was better than Facebook, Gmail had ways of being better than Apple Mail, Google Calendar had ways of being better than iCal...

We've been busy here at the left-click Advanced office, but we decided to take some time to create a digital holiday card to thank all of our friends and clients for a wonderful year. We created a digital holiday tree comprised of our retail division's Twitter posts from the last year, with all of our employees as ornaments, in front of a winter wonderland scene. The 2012 Drupal Web Development Camp of Western Mass is this Saturday! UMass has again provided us a fantastic space in the ultra modern Integrated Sciences building at UMass. We have several state-of-the-art classrooms with projectors, a 300 seat auditorium, and a large atrium for open discussions. Registration is free!

Phew, we just got back from DrupalCon Paris, and we had a great time! More updates coming soon. But for now we have a couple announcements!
If you haven't heard, we're pretty excited about UberPOS, our new open source point-of-sales system for Drupal/Ubercart.
We'll be giving a demo tomorrow, September 8, in Amherst, MA and another one in NYC on September 16.
